No taxis. No rentals. far from town so have to stay in resort from beginning to end

the restaurant staff

the front desk person was not qualified to do her job. No taxi except to pier. cannot get taxi down town. rental of motorcycle or scooter requires them to keep passport. I will never ever let someone have my passport to keep for a week.

Despite a charming and dedicated team, this post-covid hotel is closer to a ghost resort than a former 4-star establishment. With half of the abandoned bungalows with their greenish private swimming pools, a dump beach and a deserted terrace restaurant, you will absolutely have to rent a scooter to find your leisure elsewhere..

Very nice staff and room. Pool and private beach were dirty. The pics of the place are inaccurate

We didn't try the breakfast here.

The beach and pool were dirty and weren't maintained well. The private beach was a particular low point as it was full of rubbish. Would have loved to spend some time there but instead travelled to nearby, well maintained beaches. Really ruined the experience of staying at 'The Bay'. Being that we were there in January (high season) we would have expected that the place was ready for visitors but it felt unloved.

Probably was good once.

Rooms were really comfortable and clean. Bathroom ok but tired, and grouting needs attention. Staff were really friendly and apologetic for a place that has come out of mothballs after covid.

Not at all like the description. No restaurant or bar. Second pool was a mosquito haven. Main pool was clean but loungers old, sodden and dirty. Whole site very tired and on need of updating.

Okay for 2 nights, transport to expensive for longer stay

It is in the middle of nowwhere- you need a Taxi/shuttle to chaweng to do something, they want 400 tbh for transport and offer only their own hotel car if you ask. When you order a taxi with your phone it is cheaper. Staff is friendly but most of them can't speak english, only a few words.

Pool was in a nice location on beach

Too secluded. No restaurants or bars nearby. Staff doesn't speak English. They also lied when they told us we didn't need to book to Koh Phangan. You do.

Nice beach.

Nice beach. Very comfortable bed. Large private rooms and bathrooms.

Far from anything. Basically no where to eat except at resort restaurant which is not great and very expensive. Staff didn't not speak much English. Staying without your own transportation is difficult and expensive.

We had an amazing stay.

Beautiful location, beach on our door step. Friendly and helpful staff.

On arrival, the room wasn't set up with an extra bed for our 11 year daughter as requested when booking. Rubbish on the beach.

Can't recommend the place and wouldn't go back.

Liked the beach and the tranquility.

The staff spoke no English which is unusual for Samui. The food was terrible, expensive and everything was too much trouble for the restaurant staff who had what can only be described as an attitude problem. The restaurant was consistently empty for this reason. This was a problem as there is little else in the way of restaurants within walking distance. Can't recommend the place and wouldn't go back. They also tried to make me pay twice for the room despite having prepaid. Bathrooms in desperate need of an update. Change of management urgently needed.

Very enjoyable!!

Loved our stay,staff extra friendly and welcoming it was our anniversary and we given an upgrade they also made us an amazing chocolate cake which was a lovely gesture. We really enjoyed our stay Thanks

We were Stoked with our accommodation and will definitely be back,however a little disappointed about the pools been unusable as I love to swim, but did enjoy our private plunge pool

You get what you pay for

The beach is exquisite! Convenience store across road is handy. Free shuttle to Chewang beach.

Needs massive upgrade to the rooms and facilities. Very far away from closest shopping area. Very little food around. Restaurant/beach bar is very expensive. You get what you pay for.

Not a place to recommend to anybody!

Resort really close to the beach

An ANKWARD experience. We booked the beach front villa. At our arriving in the late night it was already occupied. The staff apparently didn't know anything about our reservation (we showed them our print by booking.com). They put us in another villa, not beach front), promising to move in the next days. The morning after we had been woken up by a caterpillar trying to move a swimming pool in the path, I think toput it near the beach. I still can't believe what I've seen from my window. The caterpillar bumped to our walls and the villa trembled (with ourselves inside). I immediately went to the reception to complain. nobody seems to understand. I cancelled my reservation, but nobody of the staff seemed surprised of my decision. They called a taxi for us as well. we left the resort after one night.
